Cinema Obscura 7
This event presented Figments, a short film by Tāmaki Makaurau Aucklander Jess Haugh, alongside Emir Kusturica's epic, Palme d'Or-winning Serbian black comedy Underground (1995).
Cinema Obscura was a series of regular cinematic events, curated by Cross St Studios member Sean Monro and hosted in the gallery space. Each event paired a short film with a feature-length film, aimed at showcasing a range of cinematic expressions and supporting emerging local filmmakers. These screenings were always free and open to the public.
