THE FEMININE
–
Written by Thomas Sainsbury, THE FEMININE was a sharply observed, speculative dystopian play exploring gender, power and the terrifying fragility of the social order. Performed over four nights at the intimate Cross St Studios gallery space, the narrative follows Adam Cooper, an English teacher who, after receiving treatment for testicular cancer, emerges from a 15-year coma. He finds the world dramatically changed, with his returned masculinity now a profound threat to his life in the new order.
