MAKING LOVE TO THE AUDIENCE 2

The second instalment of this series, presented by The Dust Palace, offered another night of eclectic, multi-disciplinary entertainment. The programme included Jess Haugh's mini-musical Pleasures of abjection; short musical pieces by Callum E. Stembridge; Transformative Dance by Sarah Birdgirl and Val Smith; an improvised dance and music performance by the Non-Idiomatic Duo (Noel Meek and Paul Buckton); Sam Hamilton's bioacoustic choir presenting a piece focused on frogs; and an Aerial Film Experiment 1 by Eve Gordon and Sam Hamilton.

MAKING LOVE TO THE AUDIENCE was a bi-monthly event designed to foster new, unfiltered performative ideas from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland's artistic community. Completely inclusive, the series embraced the DIY spirit of the underground scene and provided a non-judgmental venue for acts that might not otherwise have a home. These evenings were structured with short films interspersed throughout the live acts and often included unique sensory elements.
