X 1

X was an exhibition of artworks by AUT Year 2 Visual Arts students, featuring “goopy sculpture, composite portraits and compulsive drawings.” It ran concurrently with other works by AUT students displayed at Te Wai Ngutu Kākā Gallery (formerly St Pauls Street Gallery) and the Dadley Building, both in central Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

This was the second of five exhibitions in a three-year partnership between Cross St Studios and AUT. Through this collaboration, students gained the unique opportunity to showcase their work in a public context, connecting with a wider arts community and gaining exposure free from the financial pressure of commercial galleries.
