Cross Street Carnival 2

Following the popular inaugural event in 2008, Cross St Studios and Fleet FM collaborated for a second time to present the Cross Street Carnival. From 2–7pm, the free, all-ages and non-commercial outdoor party returned to inner Tāmaki Makaurau to celebrate community, blending elements of a Mardi Gras with a country fair.

The street party featured live music from local bands and DJs, craft and food stalls, art installations, and alternative street-level entertainment. For the first time, it also included a dedicated activities stage hosting the Boxwars competition, as well as the Inside Out Tea Party, a multimedia art event held upstairs in the gallery.

The Cross Street Carnival was made possible with support from the Karangahape Road Business Association, Auckland City Council, KFM, Pull Bar and First Scene.
